About Us
In 1992, Craig Miller purchased the ski department from Scott Stevens Sporting Goods in downtown York, PA. Along with his business partner, Jeff Stevens, they opened the first location of Uller’s Ski and Board on East Prospect Rd in York. They continued at that location for a number of years until moving to 2799 South Queen St to grow the business into a year-round endeavor with the addition of the Susquehanna Canoe Shop.
During the shop's nearly 30 years of existence, Craig grew Uller's to be the premier location in York County for your ski and snowboard needs. Craig's passion for being on top of the game in the industry allowed the ski shop the privilege of being listed numerous times on the America's "Best Bootfitters.com" website. Uller's strived to be on the cutting edge of technology in the ever-changing ski and snowboard industry which saw the evolution of the products to the present day.
Sadly, Craig took ill in early 2020 and was later diagnosed with Leukemia. Despite a hard fight, he passed away in October 2020. Craig was only 68 years old. The Uller’s team was greatly saddened by the untimely passing of our great friend and mentor, Craig, but also that Uller’s Ski and Board would be closing its doors forever… BUT forever didn’t last that long!
In December 2020, a group of local investors and skiers decided to continue Craig’s legacy and purchased the assets of the company. Supported by the original Uller’s staff and sales team, Uller’s Ski and Board re-opened its doors in October 2021 as Uller's Outdoor. Located at 1031 Haines Road, York, PA 17402, the mission of Uller's Outdoor is to encourage active living among people of all ages in a variety of seasonal and year-round outdoor activities.
